Brief:
For Hari Raya 2014, McCann Kuala Lumpur aimed to deliver the most unforgettable Raya greetings to its clients. While a Raya Card was a possibility, we aimed to elevate the experience to generate buzz throughout the Raya season.

Solution:
One of the pivotal elements of Hari Raya is 'kemeriahan' or liveliness, often marked by the booming sounds of fireworks. However, in 2014, fireworks sales were still prohibited by the government. How then could we evoke excitement and nostalgia while circumventing the ban? 

Enter 'Kasi Gegar' – a digital bamboo cannon game that blends art and science. Players strategically mix oxygen, calcium carbide, and water to ignite the loudest cannon bang, with results shareable on social media. Additionally, real-life replicas of the game were crafted and sent to clients, complete with functional triggers for producing loud bangs. Each replica included a greeting card with a QR code directing recipients to the game website.
